Downloader app wont work on amazon tv stick

I feel like an absolute genius sideloading an app on my stick. Works great now. Updated to the on my firestick, but as someone earlier noted, the picture quality is terrible. Just loaded after firetv refused to play again without an update to peacock app. Picture quality seems a little low, but overall, I have picture, sound, and the two match, so it sounds like success. I had and got the Update Needed. I uninstalled , installed to get the Peacock icon did not run it then installed and it ran without the message and icon stayed did not turn gray.

I did go to apkpure and saw a newer Peacock version than but as long as is working, I will leave it for now. I did not notice any issues with the video resolution. Still experiencing the sound synch issues.

I was able to use the codes to get the proper Peacock logo finally installed properly. I had to resign in and the menu loads although it seems to take a lot of time to do it. A couple of times, I was able to get a live news feed. I tried to watch a program and got the preview without any issues but when I tried to access the actual show, I just got the spinning wheel and it just reverted back to the previous screen.

I have a first generation Amazon fire stick. Would obtaining an updated version resolve the problem? I installed mine so many times over from many different places and the icon never shows. The same thing started happening with my app last night. Anyone have a solution to this?

I reset my modem, router, and then restarted the firestick and the issue with the spinning wheel and the shows not playing was fixed. Does anyone even know why the icon wont show on my fire tv cube? I downloaded so many different places for this app version 1. But every one i download it wont show the icon. Can I pass intent from my application with URL to Downloader app, which will then appear on the textbox on Downloader app without user need to type it and user can just press go.

Update worked perfectly. I do not have the icon for the Peacock app. Early on, I tried to delete the app from the SD card, and thought I did a reinstall. Even with , the icon is blank.

Any suggestions are welcome. The app performs flawlessly. I got it working again! If I hit the back button, it leaves. After 5 attempts from different sites, this worked!!! Please continue to keep us posted on future updates! Is there any reason to update? Like maybe the icon shows up?

Any changes to the UI? And no UI change. Still a clunky app with excessively long startup time. Still no Profile support. Still no 4K HDR support.

Just the kind of mediocrity you would expect from an old school cable company. Thanks Elias. It is great that we can sideload Peacock, but it sure would be nice if there was an agreement between NBC Universal and Amazon for an official app. Maybe the upcoming Olympics coverage will be an incentive on both sides to make this an official app on Fire TV devices. Fingers crossed. Sideloaded app would no longer work until updated.

Your new url was perfect; the newest version easily updated and the app opened without even needing to login again. I continued watching my shows midstream — right where each had left off. Ever since doing this latest update, I have an issue where the commercials start before the segment of show ends.

I tried clearing the cache and force stopping, and that worked for one commercial break, but by the second it was cutting out too early again. Does anyone have any thoughts on this or expierenced and fixed it before? Same exact issue. Peacock would do well to unofficially monitor the performance of a sideload ed app. I am getting the exact same issue. Except after a reload and the first ad working fine, the second not, after rewinding the second ad worked fine.

Awaiting the third ad currently. Anxious to hear how the third ad went! I too experienced the first working fine and the second not, but I was too fed up at that point to try rewinding yet again ha! Good luck everybody! Seems to work on the first show I play, and then anything after that messed up. I was working fine on multiple devices Android around the house.

Enjoying Rockford files, until I updated to the May 20th update, non of them work. Works perfectly every time I need to do an update! Thank you so much for adding step by step instructions that keep FireTV users able to watch Peacock! Unable to turn off closed captioning on Peacock. Under manage installed applications it says go to Amazon.

This would be futile since peacock is sideloaded. Updates for May 25 code or directions possible? Bless your heart Thank you so much for sharing this information. Is there some way I could send you chocolate? Thank you for this. Your update advice worked perfectly. With the May update, scenes in shows are being interrupted for commercials prior to when the commerical is supposed to load. Yup that is one issue or the commercial just keeps looping. Comcast offers free flex box with internet only so I ordered it for my Fire TV.

I can get sticks to work but the tv with Amazon in it will not work. Same issue here since updating. Same deal. The May update has many problems. The app crashes frequently. Often the audio is not properly synced to the video. And every commercial break starts before the scene is over, cutting out part of the programming.

It is all very frustrating. I realize that Peacock is not technically supported by Fire Stick, but the app from this website worked just fine before this update. Please go back to what worked. Thanks for posting the latest update. Not in play store for me. Thank you, worked fine for me except a no icon, who cares, and b sometimes I get the cat screen, but closing down and retrying has always brought it back. If the official app updates, do I need to start over with a new APK?

Another solution is to spring 25 bucks for a Roku streamer and use the real app. Is there a new update…Lost peacock from my fire TV yet again and the code is not fixing it.
